It's been a year since my last vacation....I went to Hollywood last year this time. I attended a great dance workshop, sipped drinks poolside at The Hollywood Roosevelt, enjoyed some sun at the beach, but one of the coolest things was when I met someone out there. My mom and I had been buying souviners and were waiting for my dad to pick us up. It just so happened that a photo shoot was happening on the corner we were waiting on. Nobody was really paying attention to them and my mom and I only saw one of the models getting her photo taken. The model left along with the rest of the crew and the photographer stayed and started breaking down the camera. I then decided to lean against a building that had an iron gate when after only standing there a few minutes I noticed the photographer on my left side looking towards me. Then he walked to my right side and looked my way again. So then I looked up at him and he started to mention how the sunlight looked beautiful on my face and came right next to me to lean against the building. After about 1/2 a minute if just standing there and looking at everyone pass by we started talking to eachother. We ended up having a good ten minute conversation before my dad picked my mom and I up. It was pretty much one of the highlights of my trip. Fairy Wings

So a friend of mine dropped a major mood killer on me the other day.  I mean really what am I suppose to say to him? It's been years, we've never had a thing, I'm tired of hurting you but I'm sorry, I'm in love with someone else. Yes, were only "just friends". I was just so upset with him after I told him I thought he was over me (he told me he liked me back in 2001)  and his response was "nope. I still hope for the future".  Keep in mind that we've never dated or anything...it's always been just friends and I've made it completely clear as glass that I don't have feelings for him that way.  So yes I felt like some horrible person all day for having to tell him it's not ever going to happen between us, I know it hurt him but sometimes you can't always sugarcoat things.  If he was still having hope for the future, being nice about it was the last thing that needed to happen.  All I really wanted to do was get away.  I'm telling you sometimes I wish I really did have wings so I could just fly away.  Oh but where would I go?  Someplace sunny with a beach, I don't know why but I'm completely addicted to the beach.  It's funny because I hardly ever go to the beach out here (they pretty much suck and so does the brown water).  You can't see anything and when I feel things on my legs and can't tell if it's a fish or seaweed, it kinda freaks me out.  So yeah, wings are in definite need when things get awkward.  Just get me out of here.

Nothing to do

Just a little bored...nothing to do this weekend. I really want to try to see the Ugly Truth this weekend but who knows. Maybe I'll get some much needed rest.

Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!!

Yum, animal crackers are always good...such a kid thing to have (it's been forever since I've had one) but so much fun. My favorite ones are always the tiger and camel. I don't know why because the they all taste the same. I think the one in the pic was an elephant, either it way it tasted good.

Just a thought...

Saturday I went to an old friend's wedding. Although the weather sucked...practically a thunderstorm out there....I still put on my dress and heels and curled my hair. I love dressing up but sometimes it's hard to get the chance to do so. The lights went out 3 times at the wedding but any type of rain is good luck right? I went shopping yesterday...no luck... everything I liked just somehow wasn't in my size. :( wouldn't it be fun to just dress up in clothes like these all the time?

Duh moments

So I forgot my badge this morning...turns out I left it in the car. Smart move. I was quite determined to make sure I got it on my lunch break so I wouldn't have to go through the metal detector again. Well after lunch when I'm about to be getting inside my building, I start digging through my purse for my badge. Of course it's not there and yes I parked all the way in the back of the parking lot. But I have a few minutes to spare so I decide to walk back. Now the sun is beating on me and making my head hurt and when I open my car, my badge is not there. Funny, where would it be? That's right, I'm wearing it, duh! Sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself :) thankfully it's Friday

Ready For A Bedtime Story

It's only Tuesday and I'm so tired today. No more late nights for me this week. I mean last night was fun but I need my ...zzzzz. I've doing good all morning, but all of a sudden it just hit me and there's nothing more that I want to do other than crawl into bed. I can imagine it now... dark room, comfty bed, nice and chilly so you can snuggle in the blankets...all a good combination for sweet dreams.

Somebody at work just delivered cupcakes to the ladies in my office. I decided to get the red velvet cupcake. It taste so good (yes, I know, it probably isn't the best thing to have right before lunch but then again who really cares?) I wasn't feeling too great this morning but why is it that cupcakes always seem to make things better? :)

Little One

Well I was quite surprised when I opened up the door to find this little one running around.  All I know is she and my niece will be very happy together.  Seriously my niece can't stop laughing right...the kitty is pretty playful.  It's a girl and we are still trying to think of names....don't know what it will be but she is really cute!
