Singing Songs

Me and the boyfriend went to see Nickelback a few weeks ago...

they've been on my list to see for a while but I never expected them to blow me away.

I had so much fun that night and I've moved them into my top 5...that's a big deal.

I've seen 3 Days Grace 3 times and those guys are such great performers but by the end of the night they didn't even stand out...I almost forgot that they came on before Nickelback. Definitely want to see them again.

Just a few more days

This week has been a little bit busy for me. These last few days of school are kicking my butt. This was my first time taking night classes and lately I've felt so tired.

Just 2 more days...and then I can get some rest. One more day and my sis and niece from Washington D.C. will be here!!! I'm really excited for them to come and spend a few weeks with us just in time for the cooler weather we've been having...I can feel autumn coming along :) Speaking of cooler weather one of my favorite ways to transition a summer dress is to add a sweater or cardigan with pretty detailing. This past weekend I wore this lacy olive green one over my floral dress I had purchased a few weeks ago.

Another Birthday...

is just another reason for everyone to get together. Always good times :)

Hope you all have some fun this weekend. I have finals next week so I should be studying...key word "should"...hopefully I will.

I know it totally looks like I was dancing with this guy...but I promise I wasn't...the boyfriend happened to snap this one as I turned around. I just thought it was funny that it looks like I was...he looks like he's really into it.

It's going to get a bit crazy

This weekend started to what is to be a busy schedule for the at least the next month. We bought tickets to go see Creed a few months back and September came by so fast. This weekend we are going to the Uproar festival which we will be able to see Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Halestorm, and a few others. It's more of the boyfriend's music but I'm giving them all a shot. You never know who will surprise you. He says Disturbed is one of the best live...guess we will just have to see. Has anyone else seen them yet? After that we have a week off from concerts then The Randy Rodgers band Friday night, Flyleaf on Saturday, and then my dancing shoes will come on for the Hometown Boys Sunday night. Crazy right? and this all just in September. In October we are seeing Nickelback (I haven't seen them before but I'm quite excited), Three Days Grace, and Buckcherry. A week after that Buzzfest comes along and we get to see a few good bands there especially Godsmack and Papa Roach (love, love, love both of them...It will be our 4th time seeing both bands. It never gets old, they bring a good show.) Can't wait!! Is there anyone you never get tired of seeing?

Girls Night Out

Me and my sisters went out with a friend Saturday for a few drinks. We started out at Kona Grill because the cute little fish in the aquarium and of course for the strong margaritas. We then headed out to this place Logia where they have pretty black chandeliers, big screen tv's everywhere playing all the hottest videos, and tubes of beer. We spent the whole night dancing and when two finally came around we decided to stop by the place next door. They serve pizza till 3 in the morning so we made new friends and sat out on the patio enjoying our pizza as the early morning hours started to roll in.

Just the Night Before

First of all the concert was amazing, I had such a great night. Sorry I don't have any pics but the ones that I took from my phone. The tickets said no cameras and for once I decide not to be a rule breaker and sneak one in. I'm kind of glad that I didn't have a camera because I was able to really just live in the moment and enjoy the music. It's just better that way although I wished I would have a snapped a few pics from my phone of the crazed Gaga fans outside. There were some good costumes that made the hour wait outside quite entertaining. The rest of the night was spent singing and dancing...I even brought out my monster hands by the end of the concert (the last song was Bad Romance I just couldn't resist).

Home Again

So I'm back in Texas...

Washington was wonderful and I had the best time being with the family. I was a bit sad to leave...just as my one year old niece was warming up to me,

 (I think she can sense my non-motherly skills) 

it was time to head back home.  

We spent one night out on King Street enjoying the gorgeous weather and cute shops.

This sign was in the parking garage...do people really do this???

I did get around to stopping by H&M and everything I thought I would love just didn't turn out to be so.  Don't you just hate it when nothing seems to fit the way you would want it to?

Oh well...I did get this shirt from Forever 21 so I'm still happy.

Out and About in D.C.

I'm finally in D.C.!!! We spent the 1st day here looking at all the monuments and I'll say it was quite worth the walk. We walked sooooo  much but it was such a gorgeous day outside I didn't mind. I was a bit sad to see that all the cherry blossoms were gone...my sister said it was beautiful just a few days ago...can't believe we just missed them. Oh well...it still look great in D.C.

Glitz, Glamour, & Hot Guys

The other night I was so inspired by Fallon at Fairy Tale Wishes and Dreams

She posted an inspiration board that was just to pretty I wanted to make one of my own.

My niece and I stayed up a bit late...I paid for it in the morning but I have to say it was worth it.  I'm really happy with the way it came out.

I love the glamourous look  and Scarlett and Ashley Olsen...need I say more?
