I've seen this done on a few blogs and have always wanted to try it and today was the perfect chance. My sister's birthday was today and my niece reminded me of this fun way to do cupcakes. All you have to do is:
1. make your cake mix
2. separate into different bowls and add food coloring of choice
3. take a spoonful of each color and put in your cupcake container
4. bake
5. add icing and enjoy
Now I know we are no Martha Stewart but I think they turned out pretty good plus they tasted yummy!!
This was right before we put them in the oven. I love the one at the bottom right...it reminded me of Superman ice cream :)
After they came out of the oven. I think some of the cupcakes may have had too much batter...there were several times that I checked on them in the oven and I was just sure that they were going to overflow and end up everywhere.
Cupcake remains!!! Love this...it reminds of flowers.
After we decorated them we noticed that we couldn't get the cupcake on the left to stand up strait. For the rest of the night it was known as "the drunk cupcake"...I said it was on patron tequila. love that song
